The Polo Road Rec Center is scheduled to open in January 2021. In addition to the the Polo Road Rec Center, the Polo Garage Facility will house the Polo Road parking garage, Transportation Services offices, and several popular dining vendors including Shake Smart, The Market, Salata, Houston Street Subs, and Panda Express. Weekend passes can be used from Friday at 6 p.m. Faculty and staff who purchase a parking permit assume the debt equal to the cost of the parking permit. Located near the intersection of University Drive and Polo Road, the facility is in close proximity to the Zachry Engineering Education Complex, directly beside the Emerging Technologies Building (ETB), and across University Drive from Century Square. The general public is welcome to use the Virgil Henson Activities Center by purchasing a Community Weekend Pass or a Community Membership at the VHAC Member Services Desk. The 28,000-square-foot facility will share space with Transportation Services and Dining Services in the new Polo Garage Facility. The Polo Road Rec Center is Texas A&M’s second recreation facility, which will allow easier access to students on main campus and relieve overcrowding in the existing Rec Center.
